We are home from the Hemmings Challenge. After five days of competition we finished in 2nd place in the Silver Division. We were very surprised with our performance!!! As at all the VCRA events it was a wonderful experience with our "rally family"

I've been too busy to write. Once the event starts there is very little free time. The weekend was preparations and practice. Today was the first day of the event. I'm excited to say (and very surprised) that we placed first for the day for the silver category. Now the pressure is on to do good!!

Maxine getting decals
Our "garage" spot

Having fun in Springfield. "Maxine" (the car) has passed tech inspection and has the decals. Now we are ready to rally. Gary has his "garage" set up in the parking lot with our Kentucky flag flying. Many of our friends arrived today but more will come tomorrow.

After a long day of driving we are relaxing in Springfield. Gary found the "perfect' spot to park the trailer/car so we can look out our window and see the car. Not many are here today but by tomorrow this place will have a crowd of "car people"!!

Attached is a link to the VCRA web site. If you want to know more about our car rally events this should be helpful. http://www.vintagecarrally.com/

READY TO RALLY

"Maxine" is in the trailer and ready to go. (At least Gary tells me all is ready) We definitely are more prepared than last year when we got the car out of the "shop' the day we left for the rally.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Yellowstone

We returned from a great visit to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Yellowstone Park. We saw the beauty of nature and wildlife. It was a time to see the "old west"! We added adventure by hiking to the top of Snow King Mountain. Pretty good for us since we are not hikers especially in the high altitude and rough terrain.
